Swimsuits need special care after exposure to sun, sweat, sunscreen stains, chlorine, and sand. Always rinse your swimsuit after each wear.

Rinse again by hand in cold water after removing your swimwear. You can wash it with a mild soap or detergent and tap water as water alone will not remove chlorine or salt.

Hand washing is generally the best way to clean a swimsuit, but if you do need to use a washing machine, try these tips:

1). Rinse first: Rinse the swimsuit in cold water after each use to remove chlorine.

2). Fasten closures: Close any hooks or zippers.

3). Use a mesh bag: Place the swimsuit in a mesh bag for protection.

4). Choose the right cycle and detergent: Use the gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent or a special wash for swimwear.

*Avoid detergents made for machines, which can be too strong for swimwear fabric.

5). Dry carefully: Lay the swimsuit flat to dry on a clean, dry towel.

*Putting any swimsuit in the dryer can reduce its lifespan.
